BELLE AYR COAL LOADOUT/DRYING PROJECT 

TIC was awarded the contract for the construction of two new 7,000 TPH batch loadouts and a coal drying and treatment system that is unique in Powder River Basin mining operations.

Technical Details

• Installation of “mass flow” gates in existing silos at each mine
• Inter-connecting conveyor belts
• Transfer buildings and loadout structure equipped with 300 ton surge bins which discharge into 120 ton weigh bins
• 1,140 cy of concrete
• 830 tons of structural steel 
• 1,500 lf of 84” and 96” conveyors
• 7,300 lf of 1” to 4” piping
• A fluidized-bed drying system to reduce the coal moisture content from 30 to 10 percent
