TEHACHAPI EXPANSION PROJECT

TIC Was awarded the contract for the construction of the Tehachapi Modernization and Expansion Project.

Major systems included raw material storage, handling, milling and blending, kiln, pre-heater tower, clinker cooling, storage and handling, finish grinding, cement loadout, coal/coke handling, and cement storage and handling.

Technical Details

• One Midwest Conveyor 1,300 TPH stacker with a 75’ stacker boom and a 157’ radius reclaimer
• Two Loesche roller mills
• One Boliden-Allis suspension preheater, six stage with precalciner and interconnecting duct work
• One 195’ long x 12’6” diameter Boliden-Allis rotary kiln
• 21,000 cy of concrete
• 1,800 tons of rebar
• 3,600 tons of structural steel
• 49,000 lf of piping
