Elk Power Station Units 2 & 3

Due in large part to successful completion of Elk Station Unit 1, a team comprising Kiewit and TIC – The Industrial Company was asked to return to construct Elk Station Units 2 and 3 for Golden Spread Electric Cooperative.

The project was located adjacent to the existing Antelope Station, Elk Station Unit 1, Elk Switchyard and the Sharyland switchyard transmission line. Project scope comprised engineering, procurement, construction and start-up of two, 190-MW simple-cycle gas-combustion-turbine electrical generation facilities using General Electric 7FA.05 combustion turbine generators.
