STILLWATER EXPANSION PROJECT

Nye, Montana

TIC – The Industrial Company (TIC) was contracted for the expansion of the existing platinum-palladium mine at Nye, MT. The Stillwater Mine is the only platinum and palladium mine in the U.S.

A new mine, underground facility and smelter and base metals were included in the expansion. New installations also featured a Svedala vertical tower mill, Svedala 13-foot by 30-foot ball mill and a 2,500-horsepower GE motor.
