Tioga Flare Relocation

Tioga Flare Relocation

Tioga, North Dakota

TIC was the general contractor for the construction of the Flare Relocation phase to facilitate a future expansion to the Hess Tioga Gas Plant. A new flare system was installed and commissioned to allow for the decommissioning and removal of the existing flare system.

The new system includes a new stack structure comprised of a Main Plant Flare, Cryogenic Flare and an Acid Gas Flare. Also required is a main flare Sump Drum collecting existing underground plant flare lines, 3 new KO Drums, one for each of the previously described services along with all of the required interconnecting piping and their associated steel pipe racks and foundation installation.

The phase of work is to convert a 120 MMSCFD lean oil plant to a nominal 250 MMSCFD cryogenic turbo-expander plant designed for ethane recovery but capable of ethane rejection.”
